What we do

Our work is to listen to what already exists and respond with intention. From this approach, design emerges, and possibility is discovered within the material, guided by design rather than limited by it.

We work with restraint, without limiting expression, allowing traditional craft and techniques to come together where the material and the idea call for it.

Using a deliberate process, nothing is imposed unnecessarily. Nothing is added without reason. Our aim is not repetition or decoration, but clarity.

A balance between material, creativity, and crafted expression.

DESIGN APPROACH

In a world where manual skill is often dismissed, we still believe in it. Not only because it produces better things, but because there is meaning in the act of making itself.

We believe in the pride of craftsmanship: in doing a job as well as it can be done, and in creating something beautiful from even nature’s discarded materials.

RESEARCH
& DEVELOPMENT

Everything begins with a conversation. Ideas are explored through sketches, materials and
experimentation, both by hand and on screen, allowing the work to develop naturally from
concept through to completion.

An important part of the process lies in sourcing materials, whether newly found or
rediscovered. Unexpected combinations often shape the direction of the work. Oak may sit
alongside carved surfaces or weathered rock. Elsewhere, waste straw and plant-based resin
are transformed into patterned composite structures, or fine marquetry is worked into
timber through careful hand process.

The reference points vary, but the approach remains consistent: material, form and process
are allowed to inform one another until the work settles into its final expression.

WOODWORKING
& CABINET MAKING

We design and make bespoke woodwork and cabinetry, including kitchens and furniture. Each piece is carefully considered and made to order, shaped around its space and how it will be used.

Our work is rooted in a respect for wood as a natural material, and in the belief that good cabinetry should feel integrated rather than added. From bespoke kitchens and wardrobes to one-off joinery pieces, everything is built with care, clarity, and longevity in mind.

MARQUETRY &
SURFACE DECORATION

Our marquetry and surface decoration blend traditional and contemporary techniques, working with unexpected materials to create depth and texture. Straw, resin, natural stones, and metal are carefully composed, each chosen for its natural character and subtle variation in tone and surface.

RESIN, FINISHES SURFACE INNOVATION

We work with resin and surface finishes through direct making and testing, using clear, coloured, or pearlised resins, or earth-pigmented oils, waxes, or hand-applied French polish, depending on how the material needs to perform. Some finishes are taken to a high polish for a clean reflective surface. Others are left matte to retain texture. In some cases, the finish is tuned to shift subtly with light and wear over time. Each surface is made to be handled and lived with, where the finish is part of the function, not decoration.
